EBHL RULES

Rosters:

1. All members must register with the EBZ in order to be eligible for playoffs and prizes.
2. Teams are allowed as 24 people on their roster, because this is how many players each team can have on the game. (Each roster must have at least one Goalie)
3. Members who are not registered with the EBZ should register by the playoffs, if not they will not be able to play in the playoffs.
4. No players are allowed to switch clubs during a season. If you leave a club during the season, you will not be able to play with any other club in the EBHL until the next season.

Gameplay:

1. All games will be played in the 6v6 format. All clubs must use a human Goalie, and humans for all positions.
2. Each club will play 2 days per week, and play 2 games each day in a round robin format. In day 2 of week 4 each club will have 1 game.
3.This league/tournament will last for 4 weeks giving each club 15 matches in regular season play.
4.The Elite Battle Hockey League schedule will be created once we have enough clubs, and it will be posted in the EBHL Schedule forum boards.
5.Each match will be reported within 12 hours of the game.Use the match results form to get the list of information you need to report. Each club captain is expected to report match results.
6. During each game, the home team wears their home jerseys(dark) and the away wears their away jerseys(light) so that teams who may have similar colors can tell each other apart.
7. Club rules will be used with the creation of all matches.

Room Creation:

1. Room is created by home team.
2. Room is made with Club Rules on.

Match Players

1. During the match in the first 5 minutes if a Goalie drops and AI takes over the game will be remade to be played. If any player drops after the 5 minute mark no matter the position the match will be remade, and played again. If once remade that same club drops a player no matter the position that club will forfeit due to improper game play. If in the first map first 5 minutes 2 players drop from a club that game shall stop, be remade, and played again.
2. During the match in the first 5 minutes if any position other then Goalie drops and AI takes over the game will continue to be played. If any player drops after the 5 minute mark no matter the position the match will be remade, and played again. If once remade that same club drops a player no matter position that club will forfeit due to improper game play. If in the first map first 5 minutes 2 players drop from a club that game shall stop, be remade, and played again.
3. It is simply stated that in the Elite Battle Hockey League we want clubs to play fair, and to play with all humans. If you are going to cheese by dropping Goalie, Center, Forward, etc.. we will not tolerate it, and this league will not be the place for you.

Below is an example of why these rules are in place.

Example: You have a human Goalie, he is rated 85, and he drops in first 5 minutes of the game. A AI Goalie comes in, and he is a beast as he will play at the level 85, and be a super Goalie. You will 99% of the time not be able to score on that Goalie. Where is the fairness to the clubs playing fair. There is none, and this is improper game play, and it will not be tolerated.

Playoffs:

1. Top 8 teams (if there are 12 to 16 clubs) will go to playoffs.
2. Playoffs will be Seed #1 against seed #8, seed #2 against seed #7, seed #3 against seed #6, and seed #4 against seed #5.
3. Standings are based on overall win/loss record. If clubs tie they will be seeded based on head to head over club they tied with.If there is no head to head match between tied clubs, then we go to Points for.
4. Round One, Quarter Finals and Semi-Finals will be the best of 3 matches.
5. Championship match will be a best of 5 game battle.

U should add somthing about jerseys,so people don't wear the same color jersey.

Every team has 2 jerseys, so unless they custom made their jerseys to be the same color it should not be an issue.

These rules will be a collaboration from the gamers. I want everyone's opinions, and I want everyone to contribute to the rules. So if you play this game, you want to participate in this league, please post some rules so we can look at, and possibly add to the official Rules & Regulations. Thank you.

The AI versus Human goalie will have to be voted on. I have talked to people within clubs that have over 10 players and not one is a goalie. I think the goalie issue should be club preference. They can use which ever any match. If they want to use an AI and take their chance with the glitch shot, then so be it. If they want to take their chance with a live person, then so be it. I think it should be club preference, so we can get more clubs. I have found more clubs who dont have live goalies than do in my time of playing the game.

so if you are a club that has a goalie do one of your skaters need to be an AI? or do you play 5v6?

Match Players

1. During the match in the first 5 minutes if a Goalie drops and AI takes over the game will be stopped and remade. If the goalie drops after the 5 minute mark that team will forfeit due to improper gameplay. Upon remaking the match if that same players drops again then his club will forfeit the match due to improper game play.

2. During the match in the first 5 minutes if any position other then Goalie drops and AI takes over the game will be stopped and remade. If any position other then Goalie drops after the 5 minute mark that team will forfeit due to improper gameplay. Upon remaking the match if that same players drops again then his club will forfeit the match due to improper game play. I adjusted the rules a bit to make it easier to understand. Basically, have all human players and you won't have a problem.

i think there was a bit of confusion late night when me and EBZ where talking. After reading what he put down and thinking alittle bit more about it i came up with a much more simple ruling.

I've been playing this game since it first came out in 09 (about 3000 matches) and there are plenty of teams out there with human goalies.

3. Standings are based on overall win/loss record. If two clubs are tied in the standing then there will be a wild card match played to determine which club will get the high seeding. Example: if two teams are tied for first place then there will be a wild card match played. At the end of that game the winners will take the top seed. If there are more then 2 team tied in the standing at the end of the round robin then the team with the lowest "Goals Against" will will take the high seeding. Example if Team A has 39 GA, Team B has 40 GA and Team C has 20 GA then Team C will get the higher seed followed by Team A then Team B.
4. Round One, Quarter Finals and Semi-Finals will be the best of 3 matches.
5. Championship match will be a best of 5 game battle.Adjusted it in the quote.

Honestly the rules should be decided by a lot more than just us if we want this tournament to go well. It is obvious that we all have our own opinions on this game. I think that the majority of the rules are great. We need to spread the word to get more people and teams here to talk about this stuff. I think that this can be a great tournament if we get a lot of conversation about the rules and gameplay stuff going and soon.

Hey guys, I just got the game and I usually get it every year. I think the one thing that should be focused on for the rules is the actual game play. How long are the periods, how fast is the game speed bar and stuff like that. I know several people play on a slower mode while some others play with it all the way up which is a huge difference in play. Just my opinion but I think this would be good to hash out.

I am not positive, but I don't think that those are options are selectable if we are using Club rules

Sory for the double post but i didnt realize i posted this in the wrong thread, but another rule to look at implementing would be:
There should be rules around players quiting/getting disconnected. I assume you have similar rules in your madden league that we maybe able to implement...

Those options my before 1v1 or verses but with OTP or Club games your only able to change penalties, injuries and what type of rule set you wish to use either NHL or International.

I had suggested one to EBZ about players quitting or getting disconnected

Those options maybe for 1v1 or verses but with OTP or Club games your only able to change penalties, injuries and what type of rule set you wish to use either NHL or International.
I hate not being able to edit your post.
