[EBFL] Rules & Regulations
*Note: this is a fair play sim league. Rules may not be listed but you are still obligated to know what is fair and what isn't.
-------EVERY OWNER IS REQUIRED TO KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THESE RULES------
---Please check the forum regularly. They are used for many purposes (scheduling, conflicts, stats, etc?) and we would like all owners to be a part of a growing success.---
Scheduling ? Owners must use the forums to schedule their games. If they don?t and the opposing owner does not show for an agreed upon time, then the other owner has no recourse except to schedule another time. If you do your scheduling in the forums and the owner doesn?t show within 15 minutes of scheduled time, then the opposing owner will be booted for the purposes of the owner that did show to play the computer. After the game is over, the owner who was booted, will receive an invite back into the league and will also be sent the new league password to join with. Scheduling outside the forums is not prohibited, it is just not punishable if the other owner doesn?t show.
USE THE FORUMS AND YOUR SCHEDULED TIME WILL BE COVERED. ALL TIMES ARE EASTERN FOR SCHEDULING.

1. Advance twice a week, first on Monday at 8:15 A.M., and then again on Friday at 8:15 A.M., playoff scheduling will be different than the regular seasons.
- Sunday and Thursday at 9:00 P.M. are the REQUIRED time to play if there has been a scheduling conflict. Both owners must have attempted to schedule on forum, if only one owner tries to schedule then Thursday/ Sunday they may contact the commissioner, via text, any time after 8am to have their opponent booted and if no owner tries to schedule on forum then no owner will be booted.
- You must have the commissioner on your psn friends list prior to being re-invited
-If the team you are scheduled to play doesn?t have an owner then you MUST wait until the last possible day to play the game.
Playing the A.I.-under NO circumstance may you have more than 1 start against the A. I?. if your power goes out or something of this sort then the game will go to simm.. We have no way of knowing the true reason on why you did not finish your game.
Unless the game freezes and you take video with cell phone. Must be at least 3 minutes in length and then sent to Commissioner via text message and he will then give you his ruling. Whatever the ruling, it is over at that point.
2. NO DISRESPECTFUL behavior towards any member via: headset during games, on forums, PSN messaging. If one complaint is filed you get a strike towards your team two strikes you?re booted. No derogatory comments, abusive or swearing towards player (I understand words will slip but do not say it towards another player.)
3. PAUSES: The only reasons for a pausing would be to contact staff, message your opponent, and roster changes.
4. At NO point will any owner quit a league game, No matter what the case. I know stats are important. If you are being cheated do not quit! Play the game get evidence when you have the evidence pause the game. Then get in immediate contact of a staff member or commissioner. Show them the evidence, we will then proceed to tell you to quit or not.
- When you pause the game to contact staff you must first pm the opposing owner with a subject of "STAFF". This will let the other owner know that the game may be paused for a few min, they MUST give you the time to contact staff. Failure to give an owner time to contact staff WILL BE A VIOLATION. If no staff can be reached in a respectable amount of time, about 5min, then the game must be resumed.
-If a member is breaking a league rule during game play. Pause game and let your opponent know what rules they are in violation of. Be mature we are all members of the same league not some random player.
-Any player who has been told what rules they are violating must be respectful and handle the issue like an adult. If you do not believe what the other owner is telling you, pause the game and ask for time to look the rule up. The other owner is not required to give you time, but it would be appreciated, to look the rule up simply because you should already know the rule.
5. Any player who has a legitimate complaint will be reviewed and will be punished how the commissioner sees fit.
6. This is an NFL simulation League. No running hurry up the whole game, or even a whole quarter. Play the game the way it?s meant. Be a true head coach and try to outsmart your opponent, not just tire them out with hurry up offense.
- Hurry up offense is acceptable when you are down in points in 4th quarter, and anyone can do it in 2 minute situation at half and end of game.
-You can only kick onside kicks in the situation above or if you are down by more than 9 points.
-2pt Conversions are allowed if you are down by 2pts or more prior to the 2pt play.
7. 4th and 1+ - You HAVE TO PUNT OR KICK A FG unless you are down by 9 or more points and ONLY in 4TH QUARTER.
-4TH AND INCHES - It is up to team owner at any time of game. It MUST say 4th and inches on down marker and you have to let your opponent know that it is 4th and inches.
-If you are within the 5 yardline on 4th & Goal, you may go for it any time.
-If you are in a "Do or Die" situation then you can do what you need to do.
-?Do or Die?- Need 2 scores or more in the fourth qtr., 4 scores or more with 2min left in third qtr., or 6 scores or more at the start of the third qtr. Examples: 9-0 4th qtr. only, 24-0 2min left in 3rd
8. Running up the score is a touch and go matter. THERE WILL BE NO 50-0 scores but at the same time you are not required to just hand the ball over. Use your judgment and remember, any complaint will be handled accordingly.
9. Players are not allowed to play out of position for any reason except for the following exceptions. TE can play FB, LB can play all LB positions, DB can play all DB positions, and the same for DL. Anyone can KR or PR. Only other exception is the wildcat formation.

10. Everyone is required to have the staff on their PSN friends list, NO EXCEPTIONS.
11. Glitching will not be tolerated. Anyone caught glitching will be banned without notice.
12. Trades- trades must be accepted on forum between the 2 owners. After that the trade must be submitted for approval in or trade section. Once voted apon then the trade may or may not go forth. ________________________________________

PLAYOFF AND SUPERBOWL SCHEDULE
Once the playoffs start, there will only be 2 days per round. Advancement will be 8:00 A.M. every 2 days.
We are trying to make this league better, all thoughts on rule changes and additions will be considered.
Administrator Comment We reserve the right to change or modify any or all of the rules for the EBFL Madden 11 Season 3 rules at any time. If any changes or modifications are made, the participants will be notified by a league announcement which will go to your email that you registered for the EBZ with.
