I guess this thread didnt want to show up in my unread. As a result, I took a sim. Not an L but still pretty frustrating since the advancement has not been consistent to this point. Im prefer not to wait to play my CPU game in chance of risking another sim. We are losing owners faster than we are acquiring them and I find it pointless to force guys to wait to the last second to play a meaningless game vs the CPU.

so apparently NOBODY read the rules if even the Asst Commish doesnt even know when advancement is. you MUST wait till last day for a couple reasons. if someone is booted so their opponent can play and new owners coming in

I read the rules but apparently the commish does not know what consistentcy means. I was up early this morning to play my game since the last advancement was midday friday. How does a dropped opponent have any effect on a CPU game unless that opponent refuses to rejoin in a timely manner?

i advance the league when it says i will. the only reason it got advanced late was because someone was following the rules but i was at work so i couldnt do anything about it.

if someone gets booted the night prior to advancement then tell me what would be a timely manner 5min?

Im enforcing this rule and the next to break it will be booted

I guess being in this league means I cannot have an opinion or preference. You wanna reply with threats of booting players even though I have yet to break the rules...Questioning the way something is does not mean I did not read the rules or understand them. How is anything to be changed if it is not brought to the forefront. Your league, your rules I guess. Nothing is open to debate or so it seems.

I dont think he says you cannot have an opinion, but what I am trying to figure out is what exactly happened. There was only 1 late sim. The rest had been on time. What it says is to wait until that last day of the period that week is in. So if the advancement happens Friday morning, then Thursay is fine to play the computer. If its the Monday morning advancement, then Sunday is ok to play the computer. If you wait until 5 minutes before advancement to say you want to play your game, that is a little late as it takes approximately an hour to play a game with pauses and everything. So if you are going to wait until the last minute, that would have to be a little over an hour before advancement. I had a computer opponent this week, and I played it on Thursday. If you have stuff you may have to do, you can play your game any time really, but what you need to do is let the commissioner know before you play the computer the reasoning for playing early and getting him to at least ok it. If he is talking to someone about joining, and they want that team you are supposed to play, he may ask you to hold on so he can get the guy into the league, or he may tell the guy he has to wait a couple days to join. At least he has an option on how to make sure things are done so that he isnt telling someone something that isnt true.

Basically it comes down to communication. If you communicate that you need to play on this day over this day, there usually wont be any issues with it. This way it gives you the ability to CYA (cover your ass). LOL.

Ok I understand the reason for waiting to play if you have a cpu game and have been warned by Tyson. Why has the league not advanced yet? I thought it was suppose to this morning?

Tyson is not the commissioner anymore, and Bobbyday is. He is going to change the time of advancement. He is asking for everyone to reply to the roll call post. Please if you havent yet, do. Thanks

Ok i exchanged a couple messages with Bobbyday82 on psn last night and was told advancement dates would be changed. I think that should be posted here or somewhere in the forum so everyone is clear when the new days are.

I was trying to wait and get feedback from those that are still active but seems we only have maybe 8 guys that frequent the site and still play their games. What I was thinking would be a Monday evening advancement and a Friday night advancement. My big issue with the current advancement is, when I wake up, even though it is still morning locally, it is close to noon for the east coast crowd.

I am fine with anything just would like to have it set and stick to those days.

I would rather have advancement Monday night instead of Monday morning. This give people who are away for the weekend a chance to still play their game.
